Private price books

Overlay negotiated commercial terms on public provider rates while keeping private values scoped to your organization.

Rate precedence

When a price book is supplied, the most specific active private rule wins; any missing dimension falls back to the deployment’s public rate card. The resulting quote should retain both the source rule and catalog release for auditability.

Security boundary

Tenant-private data

Private price books are managed through authenticated organization resources. Do not export negotiated terms into public catalog caches, client-side bundles, analytics events, or shared lockfiles.

Test a price book

Use a known usage fixture and assert both the quote total and the applied rate source. Test the moments immediately before and after effective-date boundaries, plus incomplete rules that fall back to public dimensions.
